Robberies on the increase in Cosmo City

COSMO CTY – Spate of robberies has police concerned.

Another home robbery occurred in Cosmo CIty this month.

Honeydew Police Station is concerned about the recent spate of house robberies in Cosmo City.

This follows another robbery where three men entered a home and forced the owner to cover himself with a blanket.

Spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said the homeowner was asleep when he awoke to hear his door being forced open.

“The suspects entered the bedroom, flashed a light at him and made him cover himself with a blanket,” he said. “The suspects then ransacked the home and stole goods worth R20 000.”
Earlier this month, another homeowner was forced to cover himself with a blanket after five suspects entered his room. They then stole home appliances worth about R25 000.

Police are hard at work trying to find the suspects and are urging the community to come forward with any information.
