Two people have been killed and five others injured after three vehicles collided at the South Africa and Malibongwe Road intersection in Cosmo City today (27 April).

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said that when paramedics arrived on the scene they found two bodies lying just a few feet away from the vehicles.

“Assessment showed that both patients had already succumbed to their injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead on the scene,” he said.
Five other patients were reportedly found scattered around the scene. Two of them critical and the rest sustained moderate injuries. Thereafter they were taken to hospital.

Meiring said the details surrounding this incident are not yet known but that local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
